John Ferguson

The Rev.  John Ferguson is a lifelong member of the Church.  He was raised at St. Matthias Halifax,  a daughter church of St. Paul’s.   His undergraduate degree was at Dalhousie-Kings, his Master of Divinity at AST. He was ordained to the Deaconate in 1981, and the Priesthood in 1982.  During his full time parish ministry he served in the rural Parish of Alberton & O’Leary PEI for 10 years and in the suburban Parish of St. Peter’s Eastern Passage for 25 years. He also served as an RCMP Chaplain H division.  In his years of ministry, he developed an increasing commitment to evangelism and church growth.  "In retirement Carolyn and I came to St. Paul’s and appreciate the diversity and generosity of the congregation as it grows and serves from this historic place. I say that ministry finds you, and that, open to the Spirit’s leading we find places and ways to serve, as God calls and empowers each one of us."
