Isn't the Bible full of myths?
Yes, the Bible does contain mythical and legendary writings. But that's
not to say that myths do not have a lot to teach us in a way that historical data and scientific formulae can never achieve. At the same time, the Bible is a lot more than a collection of myths. Through historical narrative, poetry, letters, prophecy, parable and song it tells the long story of God's love for us human beings, a love that has never faded or faltered down through the centuries. Those who take time to read the Bible seriously with an open mind discover more in it than a relic of antiquity. What they find is that it is able to address us today with a freshness and an authority found nowhere else.
That is why Christians read it regularly and affirm, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed."
