Isn't Christianity just a lot of "do's and don'ts"?
Sadly, that is the impression that many Christians give. In actual fact,
Christian faith begins at the point of who we are, not of what we do or
don't do. Fundamentally, being a Christian is being in relationship with
God through faith in Jesus Christ-nothing more and nothing less.
Jesus invites each of us to come to him as we are. He accepts us freely and unconditionally, not on the basis of our accomplishments, but on the basis of his unfailing love.
At the same time, let's not forget that we are all changed by our
relationships. And what relationship could be more transforming than a
relationship with our creator God?
