Community Involvement

From  the beginning, St Paul's Church has had a strong involvement in meeting the needs of the community.

In 1917 this meant using the church as a temporary hospital following the Halifax explosion. Today it means support for and involvement in a local Food Bank and a Saturday Hot Meals program, as well as ministering to the many people who come through the church doors seeking assistance of various kinds.

In the summer of 1999, St Paul's was also privileged to be a major participant in the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home in Dartmouth.

Our Parish House hosts "THE FISH," a coffeehouse open to everyone, on Saturday evenings. Contact Dave and Kate Turner through the church office for more information.

World Mission and Development

At St Paul's there is also a major commitment to world mission and development. Through its outreach funds, the church supports ministries in Thailand and Ukraine. There is a prayer partnership with St John's Church in Hakodate, Japan. St. Paul's and individual parishioners support PWDRF and World Vision (particularly one community in Guatemala through child sponsorship).
