St. Paul's Church is an evangelical Christian community which is part of the Anglican Church of Canada. Week by week for 250 years, people from all walks of life have gathered in our building, in joyful celebration of God's love.

In its history the church has been the spiritual home of governors, admirals and other colonial leaders. It was the first overseas cathedral of the Anglican Church (then the Church of England) in the British Empire (1787-1865) and is the home of the oldest Sunday School in Canada.

Today St Paul's is the spiritual home of 350 individuals and families from various church backgrounds. We consider ourselves a people on a journey, and rejoice in the company of fellow travellers around the world. We don't claim to have all the answers but, more importantly, know someone who does.

We take seriously our calling in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). The congregation of St Paul's strives, in all things, to glorify the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We invite all people to join us in worshipping him and encourage them to follow Jesus on their own journey.

For more detailed information on St. Paul's Church, you may find it of interest to read the 2004 Parish Profile, prepared during the appointment process for our new rector. Be patient--it is a large document and takes time to load.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28: 18-20
