Karis Tees came to St. Paul’s in the fall of 2013 to serve in the role of Sunday School music leader. Since September of 2016, she has also served as the Junior Choir Director. Karis holds a BA Honours in Contemporary Studies and Religious Studies from the University of King’s College, where she currently works as the Chapel Administrator, sings in the Chapel Choir as a Lay Clerk, and directs the Women’s Compline Choir. Karis is also a folk musician and can often be found singing and playing guitar in living rooms, kitchens, and the occasional bar around Halifax. She enjoys hiking, cycling, and swimming as often as possible. Originally from Dundas, Ontario, she has fallen in love with the beautiful land of Nova Scotia and is glad for every reason to stay.
