One woman’s witnessing to the space between war and healing.
This exhibition comprises a selection of mixed media that includes drawings, photography and collage. Wiebe continues to bear witness to her tour in Afghanistan while exposing what was wounded to the possibility of healing. In her own words, ” the memories I carry of Afghanistan are ‘covered in dust, blurred and distorted.’ I am blinded slightly [ ] and scarred with detached memories of that place and that time.”
